There was that guy who bought one in a thrift shop in Bay area. Straight zip, absolute mint condition with collar. Came with the badge holder unattached and also the fury neck guard thing. Had a local store label on it which probably prevented anyone not in the know from understanding its value. I think he paid sub $100. I bought it from him. Lets just say he was pretty well compensated for his time LOL. But I love that jacket. Another one I wish was an inch longer but the thing is so damn perfect, I don't care. Could fit like a mesh crop top and I'd still wear it proudly.

Yeah. As far as flipping goes, Cal is a viable option. I also think there are very obvious levels to Cal. One general price does not fit all mint Cals to the degree it fits other makers. And for different reasons that account for price differences in Hercs for example. With Sears using different makers, different hides, different configurations, etc. Generally, Cals were Cals, and pricing is more jacket specific in my eyes. Same year, same hide, one Cal is probably “better”. Though I love them all, I won’t pay the same for all. Mint to mint jacket comparison.

This jacket is nothing special......but it DOES have that sorta MISSING LINK Label as Sears went from Hercules to Fieldmaster (then eventually to Oakbrook).

Yes, I have seen this label. The Fieldmaster label is first used in the mid 50s. It appears sorta on an off with a variety of designs. The did use it on a variety of garments including motorcycle styled jackets. It is used well into the 60s along with Oakbrook.

I hadn't seen many with BOTH Hercules AND Fieldmaster on the label........ These other labels like the Fraternity Prep etc. are very interesting. They seem to maybe predate the Hercules label???? That Frat Prep label has the Hercules Palm Trees....... Never seen that brand.

I recently saw a different Fraternity Prep label on an MC jacket. No mention of Sears on it that I recall. I would have noticed. I’ll try to find it. Really nice.

Just noticed that the FP label posted above doesn’t have Sears on it either. The one I saw did not even have the mountains or palm tree

I honestly don't understand the appeal of these, I think they are ugly. However ,they( Ship John) do seem to generate a lot of interest.

Agreed. Jacket that's completely devoid of any aesthetic. Design, even. People without a first clue of what they want to wear fall for it because of the "rugged" bs story the shop is selling but otherwise, you'd be hard pressed to find an uglier jacket.
I'm honestly surprised Langlitz even took the job of slapping their name on something so plain and boring. I wouldn't pay $20 for it. $1200 is insanity.

I really like this jacket, but know nothing about the Brand. How do you wear and care for this light finished leather? Just let it get dirty?

Mr freedom jackets are of a light cowhide. They essentially darken like naked cowhide. If they get wet wipe them down. Orchards every once in a while. I like mine in the summer. It will definitely darken and look a little variegated

I like the aged one.
I wouldn't spend $1200 for it, though.

Not sure if this the right area to post, but does anyone have any experience with this jacket?

https://www.butterscotchlb.com/coll...addict-clothes-granada-jacket-black-horsehide

I was hesitant about leather a type 3, but this has to be the sleekest and most well constructed I have seen. Any info or fit pics from memebers would be greatly appreciated
@Tom71 just bought an addict but different style. And I know of one other member who's handled addict and said it was stellar. I can tell you Butterscotch is cool shop. I have their Vanson collab Commando. It is superb.

edit: btw, I used to think type 3 leather was kind of weird. Stuck my toe in the water with some cheaper stuff from Levis and Gap. Really like it. Now ready for something more fancy LOL.

Well, sure, anything'd look good in this leather. I'm not saying the jacket is an abomination, just that they're asking an ridiculous amount of money for a dumbed down Key Imperial / M-65 knock-off. Look at the hand-warmer pocket. What's going on with the inner top being stitched!? Amateur hour.

You've got 1/3 of the pocket that's practically useless. Why not separate it from the rest of the pocket and make it into a deep, vertical pocket for a spanner or whatever these rugged men carry around at all times, in case the chain on their $400 wallets comes loose.

And their IG fans... Guy posts a photo of a denim shirt and everyone's instantly like OMG *fire fire fire* bruh when will u restock bro where do i buy one! Dude, it's a Levi's denim shirt!

It's only natural they partnered up with Good Art SCMWD. $2K for $100 worth of silver? Bring it on!
