What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

No rudeness intended

There is a joke amongst Professional Photographers which parallels this

'If you have a great meal do you ask chief which Oven they cooked it in?'

I can't really speak to cooking, but if I had a good meal, and was also a chef, I might ask..? Or more analogous, ask the size of oven and temperature used etc. As a photographer (which I can speak to), I am sometimes curious as to the gear used by another. And as was posted, it isn't necessarily the brand, but "camera/lens combo" i.e. the frame size, max f/ of lens etc. or was it a phone camera? Things good to know if you're trying to achieve a look or effect you see in another's work and improve your own knowledge and skill. And of course, always compliment the photos themselves, as the commenter did. My 2¢.

Hein Gericke, this has been pretty much my daily wear jacket for the last few months.

I really like your Duke jacket. Their Victory HH is still one of my favorite leathers (very luxurious leather) but no longer available. They also offer Shinki HH now (also tea-core) but I have no idea about the quality compared to FW, RMC, FL, etc. Probably I'm giving it a try at some time in the future as the BK size 38R is the best fitting jacket I own.

I know how great HG can be but this jacket has serious LW vibe. If you had said it's Speed Demon, I would've believed you. Something about the hide, vibe, etc.

Finally having the carpet in two of my bedrooms removed. I had to move a bunch of stuff into my boys playroom, including these…

That's why I'm no longer playing the jacket game and will live out the rest of my life dressed in rags. Physically impossible to collect all this for me and it's what I want out of life.

I actually threw this on on the way to work today. Not really necessary but there’s a stiff nor’ easter blowing some truly refreshing air in and frankly I wanted to drive in it. I don’t see how this doesn’t become my most worn jacket. These Monarch’s are so beautifully made. They feel luxurious and stand apart from the other vintage stuff. I think it’s the highest form of vintage horse I’ve ever handled. Maybe the nicest leather I’ve ever handled period. At least so far…I’ve got a long way to go.

Comet for our cooler weather that just hit. The bigger arms make for much easier movement than the premier highwayman, makes me wonder how the non-premier would work.

Gotta say that you are rocking the jacket and the beard! Recently started having a short beard myself, so I'm taking more notice of them on other guys.
