That was a nice looking coat. I pondered on that one. I don't know why, but I don't feel so bad about passing on some of these when I know people on here are getting them instead lol. I know they'll be taken care of and worn!
I agree. And....there are many more out there!

Just picked up this WW II. Neck tag survived. I believe this is a good indication it was not issued or used much. In other words, good condition. I purchased two jackets with surviving neck labels and the jackets were near mint condition. I am very excited.

Yep, that's the one I almost went after. Very good pick up! I think you got it for a good price too! Let me know if it doesn't fit ;)

Hi everyone:
Selling my 1949 size 38S. Too short for me. Very few hardly seen moth marks, one 1.5” tear in lining just sewed( see pictures)Overall in descent condition. $60 plus shipping.

Pit to pit 20”
Shoulder seam to sleeve 24.5”
Collar Bottom to hem: 30”

3 out of 6 buttons are newly sewed. I just hand shampooed it.

I just posted a 1949 in a 38 R on EBay. I will work with you if you are interested. Good price on your coat!

A light cotton, similar to moleskin was used after they abandoned the corduroy linings, but, to my knowledge, it wasn't used in the WWII models. But evidently it was.

Yeah, I knew they went to flannel, or something similar, but to see that on a WWII coat made me wonder.

EDIT NOTE: Yes flannel is the proper term. I used cotton when I should have said flannel. Thank you for mentioning the proper term. PC

Me too. If I can find my notes, I can give an approximate year for this coat.

The manufacturer may have run out of corduroy and used a cotton lining hoping it would get through. It did.
