If you've got a quick jacket question and don't see a thread for it, just post it here. Whether the question is about fit, design, patterns, choice of leather, makers, hardware etc,. this is the place.
Hi. Any info would be great. Only tag on jacket is 100% Sheepskin Made in U.S.A.
And size 50 tag.
I would love to know who made it ?
Thank You

Of course! One of the lapels are full of pin-holes and marks of badges. I hate these issues, don't understand why to damage jackets with pin badges.

Today is not the best.....

This on my current favourite, and worse absolutely my own fault!

The hide on mine is nowhere near the quality of @Leather Walker 's one.
A repair I hope and then I will search for a better quality replacement (p2p 23-24, s2s 19-20) Cal or Al's or JL or?

If anyone knows of one please let me know.

DAMN!

(reasons to be grumpy part two.....)

I can't figure out where this cut is, armpit? It sucks when this happens.

Anyway, the jacket fits you really well, Al!

The side just above the ties.

Thank you.
I am/was very happy with the fit.....
Stuff happens.......... (plenty worse things in the world than a torn jacket).

On a +tve note, it gives me a search for a similar one with better hide. heyho

Did RW make jackets for MW?
Is there a definitive book about the history of leather jackets in the 20th century? If not, you should create it!
There is no definitive book on the history of leather jackets . The topic would be huge . There is a blog Post that started to identify jackets. David himmell And dinnerman Started the Blog The art of Vintage jackets. Combining that blog with the information Here,You have the best source I know.

This forum is the main source of information on Vintage leather jackets. It is buried here in a ton of threads

what he said ^^^, they're back on Jan 3rd.
I think they're on their Christmas holidays. Normally someone will get in touch with you when it's your jacket's turn. Before the production process starts, the measurements and details are clarified. This can take a few weeks.
They seem not so good with communication. I initially got a response when they returned from break and then they’ve not responded to subsequent emails.
