How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

Picked up another brown Apparel Annex, this time a Cafe Racer with some nice grainy leather, possibly a bit too short of sleeves, but fingers crossed. Padded shoulders & elbows to boot. If it is, it'll go up in the classified here. Pocket arrangement is unique for both a Cafe Racer & a CHP-style jacket.

First jacket looks like it may be "squeezy" to fasten should the need arise ?

Speaking from "gulp" personal experience of the same.......
No chance I can close either one. 70’s cut makes “Japanese slim fit” look like husky fit. But if I find I need to close them, I’m wearing the wrong jacket! I’ve got about three jackets that I wear open, or not at all.

Yes "folks was slimmer" in the 70's no question. I used to fight Judo at 72 Kg.
That's at age 21, 45 years ago haha..
I would LOVE to be 89Kg and that's my downward goal....
Riding motorcycles they HAVE to close or you are flapping down the freeway like a seagull haha...

Sketchy Aero CR gamble coming in today:
Rugged West take on the J-24 coming in this or next week as well! The Rugged Rider 3.0 fully decked out in RiRi!
The CR gamble worked out!
I'll throw out some first impressions here:
- Biggest box I've ever received from JP, holy cow. They did NOT fold the jacket, only the sleeves. Crazy.
- The lining is COMPLETELY wrecked. It rips and disintegrates just by touching it.
- Zipper is "Aero", not sure if that's YKK or Talon, but works fine. The #5 size ***** though, but that's an Aero thing.
- My oh my the black CXL horsehide is a beauty. Despite the "haters" saying it's not appropriate leather for jackets, I'm a huge fan. Yes it's rather stiff, very very heavy, but the smoothness, the smell, the finish, the gradual top coat rub off to reveal the teacore.. Just amazing. The leather is in great condition.
- The fit is VERY good! Surprisingly. I managed to put it on once but that's about it, can't do it again due to the lining. Got lining dust all over myself.
Great length, nice and slim at the hem, very decent in the waist, great feeling upper body, good sleeve length. The sleeves ARE rather roomy, especially up top, but it feels good.
- Yes I'll need to send it in for repairs to get the lining changed, but overall I'm VERY happy with this purchase at 150eur. ~200eur including shipping. It will be another 90-140eur including shipping to UK or Poland (whichever I chose) to get the lining replaced. But for 300-350eur I think I did pretty damn good with this one.

Looks like you got a great deal with that one, and yes the leather looks awesome on it.

Is Aero going to do the re-line on that CR?

Did a little work on the Gandalf. It had this unsightly stain on the chest pocket:

I hit the pockets and collar with obernaufs to conceal it.

This is probably the coolest half belt I’ve had from any era in some of the nicest leather I’ve handled. The half belt actually floats off the back until it’s worn!

Just got my hands on a Vanson Chopper for the motorcycle. It was custom-made by the seller to have some air vent zips on the arms and back for warm days. I used it today on a moderately hot day, and the air flow was great.

I've got my eyes on a few Filson jackets (maybe a Packer) for the winter. I've got an Aero Board Racer I never wear that I'm going to try to sell to fund this one.

This may be your coolest half-belt yet Tony - especially with your updates.

I know there was an "Aero" brand of zippers that were similar to Lightning I believe, they even had a factory in Australia local to me (probably the only cool leather jacket history anywhere near me haha), now shuttered though. Not sure if this is one of those or just a signed Aero leathers zipper.

Just a signed ykk, looked more closely when cleaning all the zippers with vinegar.

Found this rarely-sized LW on eBay last week. Stuart mentioned it’s a sample from back in the day - probably 3oz HH. No way in hell it would even fit me. Didn’t even try.

Got it for my wife for whom it fits just about perfect.

Am still waiting patiently for my Bill Kelso. They apparently found zippers and emailed me last week wanting to know which manufacturer's patch I wanted on the inside. I ordered it sometime last year, probably around September.
