Hello

Im thinking about getting a BK Aeronaut in Liberty HH. The website listed it in stock. Im doing some search here and it seem like they dont respond much to their emails.

1)Does anyone know the wait time for an in stock jacket?
2)Wait time for special order?
3)How thick / heavy is their liberty HH? .. I prefer something a softer- comparable to Aeros vicenza
4) And how is the sizing - runs smaller/larger?
5) any other proc/cons

also.. do they make their stuff in house or is it Made via third party?

Hi there, I’m new to the forum (sort of!); I’ve monitored it for years, but haven’t had the time to engage substantively. Hoping I can participate more from now on!

As of March of this year, Kelso’s website indicates there’s a 2-4 month wait, with a caveat indicating it could take from 6-12 months in some cases.

For what it’s worth, I ordered one of their L.W. Foster 55-J-14s in early April of 2024. It arrived (in the U.S.) in late October. Mine is a standard size 42, with no “special requests,” so I assume seven months was an average wait time at that point.

I was in no particular rush and assumed it would be at least that long when I placed my order. Beautiful jacket, BTW!

Hope this helps?!

How was the fit? True to size?

I have never ordered from BK but I have noticed that some makers have an item listed as “in stock” and when you go to buy it they explain that the item will actually have to made to order. I’m not sure if it is a deliberate ploy to draw in orders or simply that the item was in stock previously and they neglected to update their inventory online.

Bill Kelso is quite clear about it in their website:

"The website listed it in stock." Where?
If so then it's completely misleading combined with the screenshot from the post above mine.

I think this maybe just how their website is set up. In the source code it does state the jacket is 'in stock' which I guess just means its available to order, but this leads to Google and other places showing the jacket as in stock so I can see it could be confusing for anyone following that link;
