I purchased this jacket without any labels, I later found it in a 1940s Spiegel catalog. This jacket is heavy and quite comfortable, especially in a car.

Thanks! I actually can't take credit for any of it (except knowing a good deal when I see one, and knowing what fits me). I got this guy used off eBay, with all the lovely patina and break-in already on there.

I could swear the seller's description said it's CXL but I might be making that up. The listing details are inaccessible now.

Maybe it's tumbled jerky? You know way more about this stuff than me, so if you're wondering what it is, then I'm also wondering!

But yeah, fantastic jacket, I couldn't be happier with it.

One of the reasons I settled in Western Australia.
No winter lay-up required here (thankfully)
All year round motorcycle riding
As long as it's not wet (@60/80 days)
As long as it's not 40C+ (10 days over 4 months)

I think the standard model is called the Tailgunner. Someone has one listed on eBay that has two top pockets.
