I, like most others of you, transformed from "regular modern dressing" to my own vintage style. This happened rather young for me...I was about 13 or 14, but my understanding of "vintage" was not the vintage that I am into now, due to my poor knowledge and friends and others influences around...

I have got to say that fur is, and always has been, my vice, of sorts. 7 years ago, a classmate brought over a bag of vintage furs- stoles and hats (mainly 40s and 50s) from her chic grandmother to use for a school movie we had to make. She never picked the bag up after we called her many times...

One of my first acquisitions on ebay was a pristine pair of high waisted, wide leg rose-colored 1940s linen pants, which are absolutely gorgeous. I got them for the steal price of $30- and have yet to see any like them either online or in person. What luck!

Oh, I surely will. I also have to find the camera so I can take pictures of the literally 50 other pieces I picked up a week ago. Quite exciting!

Thanks KittyT- It really does sound like such a nuissance with the wearing of sheer items. I guess I should look for a non-bulky, somewhat opaque, non-decorative slip that will work for everything- ah, the search is on.

That is really such a beautiful dress. Exactly what kind of gowns I am looking to buy lately. :p That bow detail really does it for me.
