    Aero Shackleton Explored

Some feedback on my size 40 Shackleton (made on 20 Nov 2013 by Toni.H., going by the label) after it has seen 4 years of intermittent use. I wear it about 40 days a year, mainly during fall/winter. Sizing wise it was spot on: I'm 5ft11 (182 cm), weight fluctuates between 68-72 kilo (150-158...

Advice needed on new Aero Cafe Racer jacket

I'm very late to the party but I'm 100% with Ton wrt the statement about the Café Racer model and FQHH. Don't know what you guys ride but I wouldn't want to jump on my motorcycle wearing a brand new FQHH jacket, regardless of the model. Not unless I could barrel down one of those long...

    Fit jacket pics

The fit preference, assuming jackets are in proportion and not with the back of the café racer as pictured earlier in the thread (and which is an obvious error in manufacture imho) is of course individual. I also like a snug fitting jacket, not something that hangs like a tent. For motorcycle...

Highwayman Finally Starting to Look Good

Apologies, just noticed your question now. No storm cuffs, just standard side zippered motorcycle closures on the arm. I agree that the arm length should have been a bit longer but otoh I'm not going to wear the jacket for riding my bikes anyway (just not safe enough), only as a town jacket...

which one is better, aero or alexander

No experience with AL but very happy with Aero, IF you get the fit right and that's a major challenge. You can't compare the sizes they state as it all depends on the model. My Aero café racer is a labeled as a size 38 and is true to size, otoh I own a half belt deluxe that's at least a full...

Highwayman Finally Starting to Look Good

Great to se some fellow bikers here and now I'm back in India I'll post a couple of pics of yours truly (looking much the worse for wear after doing Delhi->Bejing-->Sydney-->Delhi-->Brussels in 9 hellish days and nights) in the new limited edition red café racer from Aero that I just picked up...

What style is this leather Jacket Similar too?

I don't know what a casual business meeting looks like because I've never participated in one (always suit and tie here) but if it means wearing a suit jacket that will severely restrict your options as those don't pair well at all with slim fitting / short leather jackets. If it has to be worn...

What style is this leather Jacket Similar too?

And I spend 3/4th of my time in Delhi, the rest in Europe, have also been at 2 posts not so very long ago, guess I'm not legit either. To the OP: no real idea but you could indeed check out Aero. If you're slim and like a sleek look, consider the café racer style jackets or the '30s style...

    Am I the only one?

I'm flying from Delhi (still 34 centigrade and humid) to Brussels (12 centigrade and overcast) tomorrow. Looking forward to it! Will be great to wear some of my jackets again, even if only for one week. nd I'll pick up some Aero goodies that have been delivered. Hoping for a good fit.

    Continuous declining quality of outwear

In my opinion the quality of mass produced consumer goods -not just clothing- has been steadily deteriorating simply because the average Joe and Jane while bemoaning the 'cheap chinese crap' and the loss of their jobs in western manufacture demand a high turnover (new clothes every season)...

    re: altering a Aero Highwayman

Looks a lot better than the first one, I agree that fit is to some extent a matter of preference but don't think many would disagree that this is an objective improvement. The model looks too boxy to my taste but that's really a personal thing. Now break that mother in ;-)

ID and Date on a denim chore / work jacket

OK, makes sense and I gladly stand corrected. Surprises me a bit about Pike brothers though, normally their research is impeccable.

ID and Date on a denim chore / work jacket

Isn't the left pocket a 'cigarette pocket'? Was -at least in Europe- widely used on that type f garment in the '30's. Allowed on to put a pack of cigarettes in and extract one without having to remove the pack from the shirt or fish around too much. Pike Brothers also have them on one of...

    Aero 30's HB armhole

+1 Having gone through the same issues as you have I can only confirm the above. The sizing and fit are a huge weak issue with Aero and many have learned expensive lessons here. The absolutely only way is to ask them to give you the actual measurements of the jacket you're interested in...

    The dreaded inside pocket question

I have a Maxwell on order, no pockets at all, except the hand warmers, even dispensed with the chest pocket. My solution is simply to wear one of those cross-body men's purses. I know, not very 'manly' perhaps but I don't care as it's super practical with a dedicated pocket for my phone (S3...
