Tommy .... Wow!!!! Great hat! Art is the best I've seen at replicating hats!!!

Art ..... Increadable likeness ... Absolutely amazing!!!

The scary thing is I have Seabiscut and the Maltese Falcon in from Netflix ... I sure hope I don't get any ideas ;-)!

Art made the Maltese Falcon fedora (the "Dingus") in my avatar.

Summer was around the corner, and I didn't really have many light colored hats in my stock, so...

My second hat from Art, and once again I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

I have a 60ies charcoal Borsalino "San Remo" that I really like the shape of - but as charcoal isn't a very sumer-y color, I was on the lookout for something similar that I could wear during the summer months.

Recalling Art had previously made a few hats with a rounder "european" block, I asked him to use this block, and gave the Borso's measurements for the dimensions, hoping the end result would be somewhat similar - and boy, that's exactly what I got!

The pleated ribbon likewise was inspired by another Borsalino.

The specs;
Lightweight mojave felt with dark blue ribbon
Made on Art's rounder "european" block
5" crown (uncreased)
2 1/4" brim with a thin overwelt and double stitching
liner pad

That color combo is sharp. The mohave color looks very versatile, softer than silverbelly.

Can we post pics of Arts rounder "european" block hats unbashed /open crowned and compare them to the more "square" blocks Art was using before? This new set of pics is very appealing.

I have a similar lid coming from Falcon Park but bound rather than overwelted and, if I remember right, I ordered a dark gray ribbon. It's been a while. I could be wrong about that. I would be thrilled if it looks anywhere near as good as yours. Excellent hat.
