New Jacket from Johnson Leathers

I wanted something that fit for a change so I flew up to The City and went into Johnson Leathers. I have a 39" chest so I tried on a 40 for size, but it was a little tight around the waist so I got a size 42 with an inch off the length and arms. It's still pretty trim fitting, but I can wear a thin layer underneath if need be. I chose the same finished leather and nylon lining they use in SFPD jackets and for customizations, I had him use a chain zipper pull and move the inside pocket to the right side. Total cost: $600 jacket, $150 fun expenses. No drama or buyers' remorse regarding fit: priceless.

Nice jacket.....great fit. Once that jacket is broken in and relaxes, it should look amazing. Good job.

The City = San Francisco...well it did when I worked out of San Mateo office years ago...

There is only one "The City" with capital "T" and capital "C".
San Francisco.

Great looking jacket. It would be difficult to improve on the fit, particularly for allowing you to layer underneath.

Nailed the fit. I'm waiting on a custom jacket from them that should ship in the next week or so, but I wasn't bold enough to size for an exact fit in the body. I wear to many thicknesses of clothes and go up and down in weight about 10 lbs in either direction.

Thank YOU too. I don't know if you'll come back and see this but I researched some of your jackets and in a string from last April or May I saw my avatar next to a long forgotten comment from me saying, "I didn't know from their website that I could get that from Johnson Leathers." So you helped me a lot too.
