What is your favorite hat crease?

Hi

I have a couple of Indy dented Fedoras, two Rough Rider dented cowboy hats, a Bull Rider dented Cowboy hat, a Montana Peak Scout hat from Jaxonbilt in Undyed Natural, and a John Wayne diamond dented Cowboy hat.

I really like the pool hall picture above. Great variety. I don't like about half of those, but the others are great.

After eight years of wearing fedoras, I've finally realized that I need at least a six inch crown to give me the room necessary for a diamond crease. It's definitely my favorite now.

Still working on the VS, kind of a sloppy c crease now...

This is my Penneys Marathon. It came with a brutal, deep diamond of sorts and I changed it to a modified center dent. Marathon told me this is much better...

The 5 point is becoming my go to now. I am still working on getting the hang of it. My stratoliner is the perfect felt to practice it though. Stuff is like clay.
I love a good center dent too.

for a 5 point or 5+ point to happen the felt definitely has to be right ... otherwise it is possible but would have to be forced

when you have that felt though it just happens ... what a beautiful thing

VS in Sahara light felt. Started life as a C-crown, but has gradually started to morph itself into a 5 point diamond. It has a mind of its own, so I suppose this is a sort of collaborative effort between the felt and me.

MC Gannon in sand. When he finished it, Michael sent me a photo with it bashed to a beautiful diamond. I (foolishly) asked him to change it to a C-crown, which he did. After living with it that way for a while, I re-bashed it into a diamond. Not nearly as good a diamond as Michael had done, but still not too bad (I think). I much prefer it as a diamond.
