Several shots of Herradura Reposado during Happy Hour while wearing my fedora from NW Hats, & I'm putting it on my list to buy. Very smooth with a soft butter cream/vanilla taste up front, & a cinnamon/smoke aftertaste. I like it very much. Now that I've included the Repo to my list I want to try the Blanco next time.

You inspired me to dig out my bottle of Herradura Reposado. It's a nice way to unwind after a long day of corporate tax work.

1950's Libbey Glassware. In the Canada Goose series I have shots, jiggers, low ball & rocks glasses of 6 or more. I still need some flutes & martini glasses.

If you happen to run into some at flea markets I'm actively looking for anything in Kings & Queens series, & in the Atomic series in turquoise (look like amoebas) & Sputnik series (look like satellites).

Now here is THE perfect match! Forget the Moscow Mule. Have you ever had a drink named the "Mamie Taylor"? Bourbon, Ginger Beer and Fresh Lime juice, on the rocks in a tall glass. This drink was invented circa 1900 by a bartender (his name escapes me at the moment) and was named after the stage actress Mayme Taylor. So while I have not found a bartender in Los Angeles who can decently make this drink (or has ever heard of it), I love this drink and THIS is the hat to wear when you drink it. A genuine antique fedora, stamped on the lining MAYME TAYLOR, this fur felt fedora was made circa 1914 to 1918 and the hat was named after Mayme too! Lady's hat, I am sure, but a real masculine hat, made by a man's hatter...."Made by Master Hatters" as it says on the lining. Somewhere along the line the spelling of Mayme's first name got changed to "Mamie", but this is the same Mayme. It was a very popular drink in its day. Bless her heart, she was a swell dame!

Also says "Frogline" with a green frog on the liner. If anyone knows more about the makers of this fine hat, please let me know. It is a size 24, nice and large, too big for my 22 1/4" head but I wear it anyway, peeking out from under the brim as I sip my cool drink of heaven.

I imagine the woman who wore this back in the 'Teens era really meant business.

This local (from Dallas) beer is quite nice.

I remember when we first travelled to the US back in the 80's. American beer was a joke then, but things have improved immensely.
