Barrister men's clothing

Is anyone familiar with "Barrister" as the maker of men's blazers? I found a great raw silk blazer at a thrift store with that label. I also see the label in many items for sale on eBay. The blazer appears to be quite well made (it's also USA made), may even be full or half canvassed.

Just wondering who the maker of items with this label was. I can't find anything online about its history.
