This is the second Barbisio Titan I found. Not a chamois finish and a bit sturdier than the others. It's a bit older too is my guess. Barbisio Titan in the colour Cervo, qualitá superlativa. Nice hand to the felt, but no match for the chamois of course. The shape is nice though and the bow treatment is a neat touch. Brim 5,5cm and crown 9,5cm at the pinch. The brims of the hats are the same size, but this one does not feel stingy at all.

It needed a bit of TLC: this was the way it was listed (and how it arrived).

Here's an interesting little hat. We don't see this of hat here often. Had to buy this one because of the avatar picture I use. Sombrero Cordobés. Brand name Viumar. Not the highest quality is my guess (but I've only ever handled two of these, so what do I know?) but the felt has a nice hand. Brim at 7cm and crown at 9,5cm. The brim is a bit unruly, because it does not sit completely flat. It does have a ribbon to keep it from flying off when riding, but it has a windcord too. The sweatband is not of great quality and feels very dry, so I'm not risking to look behind it. Fits me like a glove though. Hey, it's a Zorro hat; what's not to like?

Some nice Barbisios, Stefan. Once again, you've done a wonderful restoration job on that last one. If good gardeners have green fingers, you must have felt ones. Cudos.

Both of these new hats are cool. Zorro hat needs a sabre to go with it.

Told you I would be on the lookout for one of these. The Oregon-Holland exchange worked wonders here because the cooperation came up with this gem of a hat. MacLachlan homburg in blue. Size 7 with the brim at 6cm and the crown at a towering 11,5cm at the pinch. There was some debate wether or not this hat was actually blue (it does look quite black under artificial light), but in the daylight it shows its true colours. The hat deserves all the praise the brand has gotten over here at the lounge. Wonderful felt with a lovely soft hand and the finishing is outstanding on the hat.
I'm quite chuffed with this and it's very pleasing to be confident enough to say that I think I'm the only one in the country with one of these.

Borsalino Thirty in Sfinge (Sfinx) colour. Model is called Ta/Ludora. Bound brim at 7cm and crown at 10,5 cm at the pinch. Felted ribbon. The open crown is quite substantial for a borsalino; open crown it had me looking like Hoss from Bonanza!
The felt on this one is incredible. It has a chamois like finish which is the best I've ever felt, bar none. Mid to late fifties. Sold for thirty dollars by Rothschilds; this was not a cheap hat.

That’s a beaut all right. I guess I should have grabbed it as a kid living near that now defunct department store. It would fit perfectly.

And compared to a Wegener Colonel homburg in black.

So many many thanks go out to Mike (Redfokker) for finding this one for me. It's a thing of beauty.
Well, you proved it...this beauty is indeed a deep navy blue. I could have sworn it was just a "black homburg, ho-hum" when it came out of the box. Gawd, I loved this one. Wonderful images.
