Ok, that makes me thinking of getting a 42. I am 43 chest relaxed and 44.5 expanded...

Beware the shoulder measurement! Also remember cxl...it’ll be different! I think your fit jacket looks good in the upper body. Waist needs tapering and sleeves need length.

Than I maybe should trust you - probably there are only few people out there that had that many Aero jackets on their body [emoji28]

Im just worried the shoulders would be too narrow in a 42”. Maybe ask Carrie. You don’t have narrow shoulders.

Pay attention to tailoring the back. I like this eagle's beak very much

I like the eagle back a lot - especially how it follows the lines from the arm. However, for some reason I am currently leaning towards the standard HWY back design.

I just got home and checked whether I can pinch the chest in a bit - yes it would work but then it would fit like a slim fitting t shirt and I think also in terms of look it wouldn’t improve.

Regarding the tapering. I am not sure whether I should go with 1 or 2 inches. Any method I can make sure I am not tapering to aggressively?

Two additional questions. I am not sure whether to go with cotton sateen or the drill for the sleeves. I have both options and home but I am not sure. I have the feeling that the drill is actually more comfortable as the seams in the arms from the heavy FQHH are a little better covered...

Last but not least. Any one experience with the double D rings for the side straps?

I have a HWM Premier in CXL, size 40. My Majestic in goat suede is a 38. I sized up as per Holly&Co's advice and it was a good decision, seeing as the HWM (unlike the Majestic) is meant for layering and is lined with alpaca. I find the HWM Premier a slimmer fit than the Majestic. Here are my numbers:
Height 180cm – 5ft 11” // Relaxed Chest 96cm – 38” // Expanded Chest 99cm – 39 // Stomach 90cm – 35.5” // Waist 90cm – 35.5” // The jacket measures in at: shoulders 17.5", sleeve 25.5", back length 24.5", pit-to-pit 21.25", hem 19.5", tolerance approx. 0.25".

D rings look like vintage but they don't hold belts well.

Another important point, in the jacket you need to actively use at least a year, then there will be completely different sensations in the fit.

I believe that you need to add the length of the sleeves. The rest of the jacket fits perfectly.

This is also my favourite feature of premier highwayman. But I think it looks much better in stiffer heavier leather like cxl. But Vicenza is very comfortable though.

One additional question - I am unsure whether I should go with tumbled or normal FQHH. Any thought recommendations? Carrie said the tumbled is really the same than the normal FQHH - it just stayed in the tumbler a little longer. However, I don’t want it to look as Vicenza with completely consistent grain.

Tumbled cxl is nothing like Vic. @ProteinNerd has nice BL in it. Perhaps he can share some pics...

I love my two tumbled cxl hh zip sleeve highwayman jackets. Same leather just little easier to wear. I asked mine to be “extra grainy” and some panels are others seem to be just standard cxl to be honest. Weight and thickness is same as other cxl hh and steer ive had from aero. I have had a type 3 in vic and not at all like the vic

Still had to do my warm water submersion in the tub for the brown one to loosen it up some. Black one is just so grain I didnt want to dunk it.

I would go tumbled again

That’s helpful. I think I will ask for something not too grainy. I prefer if the grain really develops in those areas where the jackets drapes most.
Do you have some pictures you could share? Ideally showing both the grainy and less grainy sections.
Is there a difference when it comes to patina development? I don’t want the jacket to look artificially aged...

Lotta grain as you can see. Probably just because i asked for more grainy panels and not just because it is tumbled.

I can try and grab some pics if you like. I found/find it a little
Lighter than regular FQHH and obviously needed less break in.

I’m sure I read somewhere that the vintage or tumbled FQHH was shaved down a touch which I would believe but maybe that’s just a batch variation and mine was a slightly lighter hide by coincidence, Carrie would know better than me if that’s actually the case.
