T&W Lees in the colour "wolf" (love it already). Size 57 with the bound brim at 6cm and crown 10cm at the center dent. Fantastic hand to the felt and this is het brand at the top of their game. First time I've seen a label like this on one of their hats. The company was founded somewhere around 1875, so that places the hat in the late forties, maybe very early fifties.

An excellent day of hats, Stefan! The Lee's my favorite today,

Picked this up just for the local connection. Most likely made by The Springfield Hat Company (Mr. Kintrea was Sec./Treasurer at one point).

Although that Bowler has seen better days, it was still worth picking up, Bob. One can just imagine how magnificent it once looked. A great piece of local history, too. Nice find.

Yes, it is always fun to find a hat with some local or regional history. Great hat, hope it can be refurb'd if that is the direction you want to go.

Thanks fellas. This one was purely for the local history (way too small for me). It will be a wall hanger.

Picked up a Knox Premier "The Fifth Avenue" in a darker khaki color. The headband leather is in really good condition and it looks like it was hardly worn. It's a stiffer felt than what I'm used to, leading to some puckering in the dimple, but overall I really like this hat. The ribbon on this hat looks brand new and if it wasn't for the condition of the inside, I'd really suspect it was replaced. In looking at The Hatted Professor's page (http://www.thehattedprofessor.com/datehca.html), it looks like it may be from 1940-42. Not quite sure what the edge treatment is.

Two vintage hats came in today

The first is a 1910s/20s Feiges. I'm beyond happy to have this one again, i actually owned it around 2013, sold it, and regretted it. A few weeks ago, it showed up and I couldn't pass it up. Now it'll stay with me for a long time. It is made of beaver felt, with a longer hair/velour type finish. the color is like Champagne

The second hat is probably from the c.1920s/30s, and is a welcome addition as well.

I might have to try and get a photo of them with a suit or something sooner or later

Thank you Garrett!

Thanks, Joe. Their hats are among the English hats made.

Hey Stefan... just to clarify... did you mean there to be an adjective in there... or are they just middling among English hats in general. [emoji846]
