Two vintage hats came in today

The first is a 1910s/20s Feiges. I'm beyond happy to have this one again, i actually owned it around 2013, sold it, and regretted it. A few weeks ago, it showed up and I couldn't pass it up. Now it'll stay with me for a long time. It is made of beaver felt, with a longer hair/velour type finish. the color is like Champagne

The second hat is probably from the c.1920s/30s, and is a welcome addition as well.

I might have to try and get a photo of them with a suit or something sooner or later

Thank you Garrett!

Oops, adjective needed. Their hats are among the best!

I thought that was what you meant but didn’t want to assume [emoji23]

The work in that liner is absolutely beautiful. And the color on the sweat is stunning.

It is very interesting to me that in the higher end quality hats the little details that set them apart are often things that would never be noticed by the passerby... but still much appreciated by the wearer. Even if you won’t see or feel it while wearing... you still know. [emoji846]

Best,
Joe

Borsalino Marque Grand Luxe in Amiata colour. Size 57 with the raw edge brim at 5cm and crown 10,5cm at the center dent. These Marque Grand Luxe are what it says on the tin: very luxurious. It's a chamois finish, the hand of the felt is fabulous and it shapes with no effort at all. Early to mid-sixties.

Not sure I’ll go for the full naphtha bath. I’ll try and spot clean this bit of tree sap(?).

That’s nice, Bob! You don’t see too
many long haired western styles. I like it a lot. Wear it well this winter.

Knox Twentyfive in a cream/ivory colour. Bound brim at 7,5cm and crown 11cm at the center dent. Some small moth nips here and there, but other than that in great shape. Brim is quite wide for my tastes, but I suspect it can count on the approval of several fellow members here. I can honestly say I'm very pleased with it: Knox was one of the best American manufacturers in my view.
