And another point on Nemesis, that bugs me:

Ok, Picard suprises Shinzon with the ramming, BUT how could he know, how strong the unique Scimitar would be and if the Enterprise E's saucer section would survive the impact??

Meh. It's science fiction - the technologies of the various species and abilities of the characters are only as good or bad as they have to be at that moment in order to tell the story they want to tell.

I don't know that I would describe it as arrogance. I would think that their calculative collective mind would have analyzed that one cube was all that was needed.

The jokes about “Klingons around Uranus” got so out of hand that the Klingon Ambassador made a formal complaint.
