I paid 640e for it, i don't think i overpaid considering how rare and mythical this jacket is but te be honest i don't know it's real value, haven't seen any for sale so far
I intend to keep it so that's not for re-sale purposes but i like to know the value of what i own
Right now i need a pair of gold stars and if i can find someone competent i will have a fur collar made for it

Thanks, yeah i am very happy with the results, i was worried about the folds all over the jacket, i was watching tutorials on how to make them disappear so i would be ready when jacket arrived, but nothing seemed convincing...
So i was not expecting some saddle soap and hot water to make them disappear so easily, it is not perfect but good enough imo

Also i'm not sure i will have the lining replaced, i don't like the idea, but i will have fixed for sure
The fit is okay, would be better if i was 5cm taller but can't do much about that :/

That's a heck of a nice job on the sleeves. If the lining is pretty much intact with few rips or holes, I'd suggest having it sewn up or leave it as-is. If the lining is trashed, that's another story.
Does it have snaps for a fur collar? My own inclination would be to leave it as it was originally built, but I'm a stickler for originality, especially with such an iconic jacket. But the choice is yours, of course.

When a Durable cross zip comes up it gets attention and they rarely come up as you said. Consider yourself fortunate to own a very nice, hard to find jacket.
As to Value; I think you did great. The way I look at a good value is how many people would pay the same price or more. It would not last long here at that money, at least I dont think so. It is not only Durable brand, but it is a quality jacket.

Some good photos & you would expect to get 3x as much for one with a tag. Maybe more. Without a tag... Bit harder to sell but someone who's looking for that jacket is going to buy it for sure regardless of the price. What @tmitchell59 says, one doesn't have many options when it comes to Brando's jacket so...

I'm the lucky owner of 2 of those jackets, one in 44, one in 46.
It's funny to notice that, also same jackets by same maker, they have variant hardware from a specimern to another. At sleeve for example:

It is in pretty good shape except for the neck and the bottom of the sleeves, i'm also more into original stuff, i'd rather keep the original lining and do some clean repairings than having it replaced, sure it would look clean but that's like "damaging" it in my eyes
And yes it has snaps for a collar

And yeah you are right, if you remove the mythical aspect from the picture it is still a desirable well built vintage jacket made of a nice thick leather

That lining looks fine as is. I particularly like the corduroy at the hem.
