How many new jackets do you have coming (and how many potential ones)?

I’ve got this 1940s? Double breasted wool mackinaw jacket coming from eBay soon. Got it as a birthday present for myself, courtesy of my wife. Unfortunately there’s no label and the seller said the buttons look like they’ve been replaced so I have no idea about the manufacturer or date. I love these old heavy wool jackets. They’re quickly becoming my favorite. Too bad I’ve got at least five months left of warm weather before I can wear it lol

Looks great! Is Stilton a well-known brand? I've never heard of them. Also, where did you find the jacket?
I don’t think that Silton is as popular or as known as say H Bar C. Both brands produced similar western wear. Silton does not carry the same brand cache and didn’t make it out of the 70’s. I use the gem app to find most everything I buy.

I've wanted a J100 for a long, long time and one I had been eyeing was Aero's. I've just snatched this one in Aero's sale - https://www.aeroleatherclothing.com/stock/board-racer---j100--badalassi--black--44----s-7257/s-7257

I must say I'm not fully convinced by Badalassi because while I think it looks great, I'm terrified of its squeakiness and I would had rather inside pockets instead of hand warmer pockets for this one... But what I would had really not wanted is to spend over 1000GBP on a J100, so this one fits the bill.

The others I had been eyeing/considering besides Aero were Thedi, ELMC and Iron Heart, but the lowest price on those would had been 1300 GBP.

I’ve just pulled the trigger on two from Aero’s stock page - a Cheyenne in the discontinued battered HH and a Majestic in chocolate suede. I was dithering over which to go for, but I’m fully expecting price rises in the next twelve months so went for both. Hoping they’ll both be good fits.

I know it’s famous last words but… I think I’m almost done now. The only thing left on my list is a Moonshiner.

Just received a custom LW Test in 4.5 Oz HH from Stuart. Already looking what to get next from him. I definitely want a Trojan, a Trucker and probably a Suburban. He won't be in business for forever, same as Goodwear leather. Once the men behind these businesses call it quits, these brands will be gone and by then I would rather own all their styles that I fancy because both of them, in their own right, are unparalleled in what they are offering.

Just got it. It looks lovely and I think it fits me like a glove and will fit me better if I lose the weight I've gained this first half of 2026. I will add fit pics either tonight or tomorrow because it's just too warm right now.

In a brief first try at home, it doesn't seem as squeaky as I had initially feared, I would say it squeaks on par with my Vanson jackets. Hopefully I'm done for real after this one (or at least for a good while :p).

All good choices, what leathers are you looking at?

The Suburban probably in his goatskin, both Test and Suburban in heavy horsehide feels too similar in style..

For the Trojan I was thinking black steerhide and for the Trucker the brown mahogany steerhide but Stu tells me he probably wont restock the steerhide in 4.5 oz because people all buy horsehide.. so I am kinda torn.. I wouldve loved to have a jacket in each of standard leathers and I already have black and russet horsehide..

Good thinking, the Suburban in goat should be a very good combination!

Not sure Cowhide was ever a standard option, it was only since maybe last year that he got it?

What do you think of deer?

It was meant to be a new standard option next to horsehide, apparently people insist on horse though. Wild, if you ask me. The mahogany steer is a bit warmer brown than the Russet, looks amazing..

Not sure about deer. I think the pronounced distinctive grain looks great on some styles and equally out of places in others.. e.g. a Trucker or longer coat would go great with it in my books, but I wouldnt want a Moto jacket made of it.

I hopefully have my first Lost Worlds jacket on its way to me soon - their East-West style. I've wanted something in that style for a while but the fit has been difficult. I tried one of the old Aero/Levis Scorched-up jackets and thought the cut was extremely weird - it was fine everywhere but the shoulders were so narrow that it made actually wearing it more trouble than it was worth.

This LW was for sale on eBay with shipping through their international delivery service... the only potential wrinkle is that the description itself said 'Continental US only'. I'm hoping the seller honours the deal, as far I'm aware using the eBay service is no more hassle for than him sending it domestically. I'm also hoping that eBay's service including import fees means I don't get stung with extra fees at this end.

If you used eBay's global shipping programme, they take all fees and customs for you in advance to service the customs and duties offices upon import, so there will be no extra fees.It won't be an issue for the seller either, as he only ships to an US address where it is relabeled and potentially repacked.

Most people don't realise that cowhide and horsehide are very similar...

The deer is substantial and has a nice drape, it is around 3 or 4oz, enough for people to think it is cow actually. I personally think it works with all styles, but if I were to be asked which style I like it the most on, it would probably be the peacoat, a longer coat indeed.

In which leather was the one you ordered?

That's good news, thanks. I thought this was the case when I last imported one, but it came via DHL and I paid through the nose to receive it. My own fault for not reading the options closely.

The russet horsehide. It looks to be in perfect condition and was heavily discounted compared to buying new. Measurements look good for me, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

It's quite a forgiving pattern, you have quite a margin :)

Rainbow Country Hercules and Double Helix Western Cowboy are the two newest on order.

I’ll need to sell a few jackets now that are redundant or don’t fit well enough.
