Just saw this thing on Netflix. The conversational audio is very poor and I didn't care for the switching back in timeline for 15 seconds then forward again.
For all the hoopla they manufactured about it being the best spy film ever I'd conclude it was just another run of the mill spy flick. Damon put in a good performance and that was the only saving grace.[huh]

I did not like this film. Found it boring, too long, and Damon's performance was spectacularly underwhelming.
Rather than a main player he appeared a pawn swept along by events not of his making and barely reacting to his surroundings.
Matt's acting was too apathetic to carry the lead in the film.

No he played a wooden, humorless zombie like Damon. In fact every character in the flick acted like robot.:eusa_doh:

I bought the DVD. I used the subtitles because even in the theater the mumbling was distracting.:rage: I understand the movie better. There are also some deleted scenes dealing with Margaret's (Angelina Jolie's) brother John. Another storyline that I assume wasn't needed for the film.

I did enjoy seeing an account (accuracy can always be disputed) about the CIA. I have to say that I enjoyed it, but I will say that it was a bit slow. Damon was a cold character, but I suppose that is what they were going for...especially how he treated his almost daughter in law. It is worth seeing, but don't expect "the greatest spy movie ever made".
