Does Akubra make a light grey? (Stetson Temple color)

I like the color and style for the most part of the Stetson temple, though the quality is not that great. I was wondering does Akubra make a similar light grey in a dress hat?

I'm pretty sure that all current Akubra grays are dark, including the ones posted above. I think they stopped all their light grays due to poor sales.

I'd love a light or mid-gray Campdraft. Alas!

Sorry jml90, but I've tried to get a light grey from Akubra, but three independent sources here, Strand Hatters, Everything Australian, and Hats Direct have all informed me that Akubra no longer produce that colour felt. Hopefully they will again in the (near) future. The closest they do is a mid-grey shown in the picture of the Stylemaster posted by Alan C.

Light grey seems to be virtually non existent in fur felt. I have walked into several stores recently, and spotted the perfect shade of light (silvery) grey I'm looking for, only to find that this perfect color is on a wool hat which is full of stiffener (usually a Dobbs-Hatco). Even the grey Temple is not quite it, for me. I've asked at Peters Bros. in Fort Worth. They weren't sure it could be had in fur. I'm beginning to suspect there is something about fur felt that doesn't take this color very well.

Don't count on Akubra making a light gray fedora anytime soon, I asked about it 4 years ago and was given a resounding NO. So nothing has changed in all this time.

Yes they do, the Campdraft. I have one in tawny fawn, however Atomic Glee has one in "Sand", which is very similar to Silver Belly in color. It's a beautiful hat. We both got ours from Hats Direct.

I have this Akubra in Moonstone grey color:

They do have some lighter colors but only certain models. Unfortunately "Carbon Grey" looks like a mid grey per the photos online, but is almost black once you have it in your hand

Akubra's "Glen Grey" is also a pretty dark blue-gray. My Stockman (see avatar picture) is this color, and it's definitely darker than that Stetson Temple in "Caribou". (I have one of those too, and agree that it's a GREAT color!)

Rick, I checked it out. Nugrey is in the color chart, but I couldn't find it listed as an option for any of the fedora styles shown (when I clicked on color). Have you ordered one?

Well Sir, you are absolutely right... I was just going by the swatches @ the bottom of the page. I have not yet gotten up the scratch to buy myself one of these, have heard good things about them here. I don't wanna speak for him but I am sure if you wanted to pursue that color in a 'build your own' The Fedora Store would work w/ beaver Brands to make it happen, if possible.

Exactly. The CEO in Cruiser grey looks pretty light for me. I'm actually considering it. Anybody has one and can comment on the color?
