I like to use both pure shea butter or jojoba oil all over my body as a moisturizer. Both of which can be found in giant quantities on ebay and other online retailers.
Oh my feet get so dry in the winter that they crack and bleed! It's horrible!
The only thing I've found that truly works is HEEL OF APPROVAL by Bath & Body Works. It's $15.00 a jar but I bought a case when it went on sale for $8.00. It's absolutely AMAZING!

I'm very sensitive so in winter I always wear gloves and before I go to bed i wear handcreme from nature cosmetic brand lavera.
And when I'm working I use this very old product called Uierzalf
I don't know the english word for it, it looks a bit like vaseline but original they would use it for cows when they had young ones.
Nowadays you just buy this product in the drugstore, it really works and is really smooth on you hands

I don't know, but my skin is so horribly dry all over, and that since the summer.... I tried everything, even olive oil but it didn't worked really.... :/
Maybe I really don't eat enough fat? But if that would be the problem, could I do something without eating more?

Hi, I'm new here, I hope you don't mind if I join in. I'll agree with Baby oil. I put a bit in my bath AND apply it to my skin after, while it's still damp. Works a treat.
Also with hands and feet, if they get really dry , I use a thick lotion and wear those light cotton socks and gloves overnight. not very glam, but it works.

I only know this because a Great Aunt of mine happened to always have one of these thingamajigs hanging in her (very retro) pink bathroom.

As an every day hand moisturizer I use anything from the Crabtree & Evelyn Hand Therapy line. Their scents are super nice too. I also use their La Source Hand Recovery scrub.
For feet I love Dr. Scholls For Her - Overnight Foot Cream - it makes your feet sooo soft!
I also sleep with a humidifier going at night, as my house gets pretty dry blasting heat all the time.

True. If you don't exfoliate, you're just putting moisturizer on a layer of dead skin. I don't think it penetrates. Besides a scrub, I use a metal tool with a handle and a slightly rough metal surface to take off the dead skin.

I use a spatula. For some reason, although my husband loves to use hand lotion on his hands before going to bed, it grosses him out to put lotion on my back when I need him to! And I can't reach. So I out a blob on a smooth plastic spatula that came with the rice cooker, and it extends my reach enough to shmear it all over.
My favorite thing for hands and feets... I make a scrub of fructose crystals, almond oil, myrrh oil (great for cuticles!) and some lavender oil to take the redness out, rub it in for a minute to melt off the dead skin (the fructose does that) and rinse off, then massage the remaining oil in.
I also keep a tiny jar lined with cotton and saturated with olive and myrrh oils by the bed, and dip my fingernails in and massage it in last thing at night. I have crappy nails at best, it is helping a lot and keeping the hangnails away.

I just got this for removing callouses - I never, never found any other device that works half as well! And it won't wear out!

I have very dry hands which get a lot worse in the winter. They tend to crack and bleed and it's quite painful. My regular hand cream is Atrixa which my grandma uses and she has amazing skin. However in the winter I have to switch to E45 hand cream which is brilliant. For the body I really recommend Vaselines intensive moisturising locking lotion. I have tried a million dry body lotions and this is by far the best I've used. Cheap too!

Neutrogena products usually work well for me; I buy their lotion in the largest quantities possible (and I go through it too!).

I swear by EVOO you really can put it all over your body and hair and it locks in moisture. If I want to splurge I use Burts Bees products for hands and feet. Its all natural and it smells and feels so good. I adore it.
Oh winter hates my skin - to the max! :eusa_doh: My hands also crack, bleed, catch all delicate materials/fabrics and just generally feel horrible! I also itch all over especially on my legs and sides. It drives me crazy! :rage:
But thank goodness for Nivea and Burts Bees! I also love the stuff and I also swear by olive oil too. But still, with all that in tow, I am still dry and itchy...just a in¬?ter¬?mit¬?tent¬?ly bit more relieved.

Here's what I do for my hands. It sounds ridiculous, but it works. After I happily consume my morning coffee, I ocassionally scrub my hands with the coffee grounds. It exfoliates and something about the oils in it make your hands soft. (I didn't make this up, I swear. Some beauty guru came up with it!) Everyone tells me I have beautiful hands so I guess I'll brag about it here.
Then I use Palmer's cocoa butter which smells like cookie dough. It's so thick you could mortar walls with it. I love it. Sometimes I use gloves, sometimes not.
Then my hands are soft and I smell like dessert.
My feet are a different story...I sleep in socks, slathered in moisturizer but they're still pretty bad.
