That was my first time seeing or holding a light weight felt hat, And I have to say WOW! Rusty's hat felt so light it was like holding a panama hat, it's definitely a great hat!:eusa_clap :eusa_clap

I was at this little soiree in Memphis and saw that hat in person.

Not only is it finely proportioned, super light and soft, custom fitted to the customer and a cool color - but it also features Major Moore's raw edge brim treatment which really, really sharpens the overall look of the hat.

I'm primarily a vintage hound and haven't sought a new custom from any hatter, but this kind of work makes a fella' do a doubletake.

The felt has a kind of beveled edge, I shall try a photo soon.
Maybe the Major can explain it better.

As I understood Major Moore to say, it was actually Rusty who once posed the idea of this treatment to the Major, a suggestion he followed to fine effect.
