Amy Jeanne - that's lovely!
Isis - I adore that soft look your hair has.
Retro_GI_Jane - I do believe, I mentioned how much I look forward to your posts? You never disappoint! :D Love the back! (and the front, and the top :) )
SheBear74 - oh, those are mighty fine rolls! :)
wahine -...
I love brooches!
I usually pin my lighter scarfs with one - it's the by far most comfortable method for me to wear a scarf around my throat :D
I also use them to liven up a neckline on a dress/top/sweater. Or when I'd like to keep it toned down, but still polished - earrings+matching brooch...
Thank you Retro_GI_Jane!
Actually my hair is still too short to roll it prettily in the back, so I did the following - I separated the back in two horizontal sections. I tucked the lower half in a sort-of french twist, to keep the nape smooth, then I pinned the upper section in a downward roll...
This is my hair today. As the pictures were taken n the evening, please forgive the flyaways. They just don't listen to me this late :)

Also, when brushing out, I sprayed the top front section to hell and back, carefully brushed it and pinned it in...
This may be somewhat off-topic, but would anyone like scans of old magazines with patterns? Of course, one has then to enlarge the pattern by themselves, and the scans are in different languages, but still? I'll gladly post them.
I am posting only a link, as opposed as to pictures with narrations, due to a severe lack of time. And I do apologise for that!. But I think, it's pretty self-explanatory, as every forum these days is. It's a thread in a Russian forum about vintage-themed hats. Pictures and patterns, magazine...
Drappa, how awful! All I can say is - don't give up! I'd write to the highest-up-the-chain straight after replies like this! The nerve of some people!
I think the threat of blazing it all over the Internet is sound advice, really. But formal written-on-paper complaint letters are most handy, too.
