This "sock" thing remnded me of somthine I'd long forgotter.
A decade or so ago, when I used to have to wear sutis to work, I always wore sharp neckties and, while not expensive, nice suits. Shirts were easy...always had to be white, but I had nice ones.
One day a guy game up and said "hey...
HA HA! Mr. H...you are probably right. I saw few crazy fights at end of the Dublin St. Patrick's Day parade during my first work stay in County Wicklow. What a party town (back in the early '90s). Please accept this post as my way of saying dia dhuit An tUasal H.
Thanks and welcome.
Just...
Found one of those programs to see how this guy at the game would look like after a few years and beers...
HA HA!!! I CRACK MYSELF UP!!!! lol
Funny one about hat instructions too: http://failblog.org/2008/05/18/hat-usage-instructions/
Actually, Mr. P., I think you have been hanging around IndyCop too long. Starting to smile like him lol
djgo-cat-go, that Champ rocks! Also, nice ink :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
Hi Ryan....
I'd wear a fedora with a t-shirt and SPAM flip flops before I'd wear a polo shirt.
So, I can't objectively contribute to this thread other than to say "WELCOME" :)
Agree with all that have posted about you being the man that you are Mr. Paladin. And, like BobC, I am flattered to be mentioned with the others and BobC himself. I cannot recall any post of value that I have typed but I can't count the many that I have read from others.
And, thanks to you...
Hmmmmm...I'm thinking that since "grilled" is best for keeping "thin", perhaps a "Thin Ribbon" so I can be a member of the "Thin Ribbon Society".
The Odd Fellows wouldn't accept me as I was just too "Odd" :(
Goose Bump for this Thread, Fred...
Understand that you were asking for "Fedora" pins. Well RBH, it's your thread, so slap me silly and call me "Nancy".
My Sundowner Roo Black 1019 came with a "Barmah" pin that just wasn't working for me. So, I replaced it with my Bullwinkles. Need to...
Thank you Torpedo. I do like my straw hats. Sometimes I spend more time trying to decide which hat to wear than a normal person should. And I have no style, or the numbers, like you and the other gentlemen here do.
Try "Fino, Fino" in Menlo Park or "Paul's" in SF. Google is your friend. ;)...
Decided I "needed" a black Barmah for those more formal occasions. Sundowner Roo Black 1019. While I really like the outtathebox distressed look of the Squashy Roo Hickory that I have, this black may not show the sweat as much.
So, a cool weather and a warm weather Skippy ("Skippy"...
I disagree. It's a man's world...they're just in it.
Put on some pants. Either admit you liked the flick or you didn't.
As for me, it was barely "ok".
Regarding the lid, it is close to the BBB. But not a Monetcristi. Nor is Brent's as stated himself...
Dear Mr. Carlise Blues...
How was the hat stowed during this journey? Did you wear it on the aeroplane? Under the seat? Overhead?
What happened with the TSA? Specifics please.
Did you bring me back a souvenir?
Kind Regards,
Goose.
Thank you JtL and IC. It was nice to wear the Fed. Yesterday was a relatively cooler day. So, no need to wear a straw or my New Barmah Skippy Roo. Which, interesting to me, weighs a about two ounces more than my Akubra felts but is much cooler on the noggin (comments/opinions/reasoning...
Beowulf...
Have to reply...being a guy that worked a mile from the turkey processing plant in Longmont and lived at the Harvest House Boulder for almost two years. Oh, and I have an oilcloth "Packers" (two actually).
Not Filson. but oilcloth nonetheless. Get a stretcher. You can get...
Ya know, that is cool. Maybe tomorrow I will try the dents on my Akubra Homburg. That looks really nice Michaelshane. :eusa_clap
Today, Fed on my head. Federation IV Deluxe Dark Brown. My first Fed.
Recylcled pic, but same hat and shirt combo today.
Thinking that Indy Cop has been hitting that "Captain Morgan" :)
Well, in the words of Herman Munster, "DARN! DARN! DARN!".
Just when I thought that my next, and last, Akubra on my Bucket List was the Campdraft Silverbelly, I see this thread.
It was also the first hat made by Akubra...
