Places to visit in Paris
I went to Paris in February with my boyfriend, it was very cold and snowing so hats, scarves and boots were essential wear. We went to Retromobile which is their biggest Classic Car Show, we also went to the Antique markets of which there are many and it will take you...

Thankyou so much for all your lovely comments, I can't believe an item of clothing I've bought has ever got that reaction. I knew they were special, and I stupidly walked off in the hope that the seller would reduce his price, couldn't...
Purchased today at the car boot sale in Chirk, North Wales, it was one of the last stalls I looked at, I was amazed it was still there. But I suppose your average car booter wouldn't know what they were looking at.
1930's Beach pyjama's.
Black Dahlia I've worn them a couple of times and found them comfortable, they're all leather so they grip your foot quite well. The wedge is 3" high so I do feel like I'm hovering a bit, I regularly wear 3" heels but a wedge is a different matter, very stable.
:offtopic: Land-O-LakesGal I...
Thanks Puzzicatto for the compliment.
crwritt thanks for giving me some ideas for outfits, I do have a plain coloured dress that will go with them, and I'll check out some skirts.
TJMaxx is the same as TKMaxx, selling top brands at discount prices, lets hope they sell similar things.
swinggal I love your tennis dress pattern, it's so simple in style.
Unfortunately I don't have a 30's figure to match, so can only gaze fondly at your lovely pattern.
Black Dahlia I went back to TKMaxx today and bought the low wedge sandals in blue, my nails looked a bit drab so I immediately painted them. I now need to work out what I'm going to wear with them.
Sorry about your rubbing sandals, I do hold a flag for Clarks shoes but it's normally the...
40'sfetish that dress is a great colour, and has a lovely cut.
Bought these today from TKMaxx for £12, Kork-ease have made these wedges since 1953 originally in Brooklyn, obviously not an original colour, they're quite bright!!
I wasn't too sure about the colour, but now I've painted my...
Drappa Thanks for asking, yes my dress is M&S 125 year anniversary, it's one of my favorite modern dresses, M&S doe's the 40's.
crwritt I'd like a plain coloured pair myself, but as it's TKMaxx they only have these patent colours. Just not sure about the brightness of the straps.
Drappa I've got those Clarks shoes in lemon yellow, they're very comfortable as most of Clarks shoes are. It's great you've found a black pair after watching them for ages.
I've come across these shoes in TKMaxx for £12, I've not bought them yet as I haven't made my mind up about them, what do you girls think of them? They are in blue with a low wedge.
They're by Kork-ease who've made this style since the 50's.
Ms Sew-n-Sew Your patterns very cute, somehow I think we've got in early with our 'Swirl' style patterns before these become too pricey! A pattern seems the cheaper option as the dresses are very popular and have prices to match.
I've already transferred my pattern onto some Kwik Trace to...
Wow Paddy those suitcases are great, I've definitely got my eye on a large red case at £36 including postage, that's a great price.
But I agree with MissHannah that lugging around vintage luggage can be challenging, a nice trolley would be the solution.
This is my Samsonite Black Label...
I've been swept along in this Swirl madness!
I've just purchased this pattern off etsy $7.75 including postage to the UK, it's winging it's way over from America as we speak, can't wait to make it up, it's a little big in the bust but should be easy enough to alter.
