FS: US Navy/Coast Guard Academy Bridge Coat/Peacoat Vintage 36R

Hey guys, I recently bought this on eBay, however, it's a tad too small for me. I measure as a 41" chest, but typically wear a 38R in suits/coats. This is a slim coat, especially in the waist. Description: Authentic Naval Officer's bridge coat / peacoat. The quality of this coat is unrivalled...

    M.C. Gannon Hat Company

Yeah dude! It's the first hat I've had that I actually CAN get a crease like this. It just doesn't come out as nice with the Fed IV.

It's actually blocked to 5 3/4 he said. It feels tall though. It probably has to do with the brim being smaller and giving it the illusion of being taller.

    M.C. Gannon Hat Company

I will post more shots soon, but here's my new Gannon I got last week. Absolutely in love with it. His block must be a longer oval, because it fits like a glove. The quality is phenomenal. The crown is VERY high too, I bashed a diamond into it at around 11cm in the front and 9 in the back...

Quick sweatband question: When sewing the sweat together (cutting to size and connecting it), I've sewn only one so far by hand, but was curious if anyone is using a standard sewing machine instead? I've tried searching, but to no avail.

This is good to know and makes sense because my block+flange combo is a matching set and works perfectly. It's only designed for making stingy brims :( Thanks for all the input guys! This is so helpful! Now I'll go back to scouting eBay :)

I see, I guess the edge would just be slightly more "curled" than normal maybe?

    WTB: Brim flange 7 1/2—7 5/8

Hey all! I am looking to get my hands on a decent brim flange in these sizes—any will do. I need it to fix up an old hat. Thanks!

I see, so the marking on a brim flange is the "max width"...

I am looking into buying a brim flange marked 2 1/4. Does that mean it can block or form a brim UP TO 2 1/4 or would it also work for my 2 1/2 brim hat? Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

    M.C. Gannon Hat Company

Hey all, I ordered a hat from Michael back in May and today it's finally done and ready to ship! I just wanted to point out that we have 73 message thread on Etsy, so it's safe to say communication has been perfect. I was annoyingly indecisive as well, and he put up with it. In fact, he even...

    Alley Kat Hat Co

Hey all, just thought I'd post something. Since I'm waiting on my Gannon and saving up for an Alley Kat, I decided to try my hand at hatmaking. Been in love with hats since I was 18. Long story short, I've been buying materials and tools over the past few months to get ready to make a hat—it's...

I trimmed my Federation IV brim today

Funny you say that, I had just removed the spacers I had in there before the photo to allow more stretching. But ended up putting spacer only on the sides to make up for the long oval vs oval. I'm def a more narrow oval than the Fed comes from the factory. So, good observation and 100% right...

Hey! Sure thing. I typically wear it up, but down works better for biking ;) here are some shots down. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk

Excellent! I figured it had to be something like that. So a crown base that measures exactly 24" is likely for a size 7 1/2?
