    Show us your hair do's....

This is a lovely photo, your hat and jumper are really nice too (from what I can see). Sometimes I feel 'over done' when I make a vintage effort, but you look quite natural and it looks really fresh :) :)

I love your natural hair, I wish I had natural curls. My hair is straight as a poker and very difficult to style.

    Show us your hair do's....

I am loving the 'do's'. I wondered what you ladies thought was an ideal hair length? My hair is a few inches past my shoulders, but I think its too long for a lot of styles because it is poker straight and very thick. I have struggled with tying to curl it for years. The weight just seems to...

    Cold Cream- Brands and advice!

I have been using the "Boots" original branding cold cream (mentioned here already), and wiping it off with distilled witch hazel and it seem to be working a treat. My skin has been very unpredictable since having the baby (I think early menopause has kicked it),but the flare up this time seemed...

    Sponge rollers---your looks and suggestions?

I have always bought my rollers from little pharmacy shops here in Scotland, and they cost very little. I agree they are the easiest to sleep in, but my hair is very thick and heavy and it is still damp in the morning more often than not. :(

    Vintage/Retro Cosmetic brands?

Cosmetic Brands of 1930s/40s Hello everyone, please excuse me if I am repeating a topic (I searched and could not find it). I was wondering what makeup brands were survivors of the 30s/40s. As much as I would like to, I cant afford designer brands, so we are talking mid range here. Makeup goes...
