Shooting is TOO much fun
Sold my Ruger .357 a number of years ago and I've regretted it every day since. In fact, I've regretted every gun I ever sold.
My son should be getting his pistol purchase permit soon and it will open up a whole new chaper of father/son coolness. :)
My old car....
...was a 1966 Austin Healey 3000. If you know british sports cars you know that the big Healey was really an old car when it was new, taken right out of the 40's. It was black with red sides, red interior with chrome wire wheels and stunning from any angle. I loved it but it was...
All in...
I usually play online poker for a little while each night while my wife and daughter are watching their reality shows. The PC is in the family room with the TV so its convenient. I play Texas Hold 'em for fun unles I have more time, then I'll play a cash tournament and I've done...
Once more..
I wrote this on another thread a while ago so pardon me if I'm repeating myself.
I was walking thru the NY Port Authority to catch my bus to go home from work when I passed a woman handing out pamphlets for something or other.
I was wearing the black beater my son gave me for...
Old town
A number of years ago I traveled down to southern NJ to attend a wedding on my wife's side. We stayed in a little down deep in the pine barrens, where time seemed to stop.
We had breakfast in a little cafe on a dirt road that looked like nothing in it had changed since it was built...
I ride the wild recumbent exercise bike three time a week followed by some dumbell lifting. Exercise is boring. If I didn't have a TV to watch while I pedal the hour away I'd be 300lbs by now.
But.....I have a theory. It is generally accepted in the weight training circles that the bodybuilders...
Some wear it for fashion, others for utility. Either way, there's nothing cooler.
I do have a collection of Harley Davidson t-shirts I bought from various parts of the usa and europe. I'm a biker (currently between bikes) but I never owned a Harley and feel a little foolish when I wear the shirts.
Lately, the glass of wine with dinner has been refilled (again) and accompanies me into the family room for a little post-dinner relaxation watching some HD. Turner Classics, thank you.
I'm surprised that so many people can trace their roots so far back in time. For me, I'm a relatively recent addition to the USA. My grandparents (all of them) started coming over from Sicily in 1910 and settled in New Jersey, so I'm only the second generation born here. My mother's aunt always...
I live in New Jersey, work in New York City and I've been married waaay too long. As for age, a wise man once said " I have a birth certificate but I ignore it because it happened so long ago ".
I usually enjoy a good cup of coffee's in the evening, a Gevalia or the like, but never without a little addition to make it interesting. Kalua, Nocello, Sambuca are all good additives and don't be cheap with the portion !
I'll take The Tropicana in Atlantic City, thank you. It seems to be more like Vegas than the other AC casino's and I like the new restaurants.
I was in Vegas a few years ago and there was a small casino just off the old downtown area called Lady Luck, or something like that. Not very clean but...
I confess that I am a hard core chocaholic and have been for a very long time. The sweet stuff is good but make mine dark, the darker the better.
Nothing is quite as satisfying after a good meal with a fine wine than a nice piece of dark chocolate to seal the deal. With a good red wine, of course.
We always called it Goose Night and I have no idea why.
We tossed eggs (usually at each other) and did the toilet paper tree thing.
Another thing we did was melt the tip of a shaving cream can around a small nail. After removing the nail the shaving cream then shoots out in a tight stream for...
