I just bought a fantastic vintage wool coat off of eBay, but the seller neglected to mention it stank of mold.
Will dry cleaning kill the mold spores in the coat?
I'm not just talking about removing the smell, but killing the actual spores, so there's no chance of them proliferating again...
Gentleman, I have a brand new, pristine Woolly Pully (XL Men's, NATO Navy) from Outdoor Knitwear that I'm offering up on eBay. Continental US shipping only (or to APO/FPO addresses) with UPS Ground. Please take a look here.
Hi everyone. I've been poking around the Lounge looking for threads on 1910's slang. Does anyone know of a thread discussing slang from that decade?
Or, does anyone know of a good resource (online or on paper) for 1910's slang?
Thanks for your help and Happy New Year to all of you!
I have a friend of mine who just bought a used A-2 Flight Jacket whose Blood Chit had been removed from the back.
Does anyone know where he could get a replacement Blood Chit?
Thanks!

What are your favorite mystery novels? I'm dying to read something good.
Long ago I got spoiled by the clever intensity of John Le Carre and...
George MacDonald Fraser, WWII combat vet (CBI Theater), Flashman author, screenwriter and OBE, passed away yesterday.
I'm sure I'm not speaking out of turn by saying on behalf of all Flashman fans, this is a great loss. Rest in Peace, Mr. Fraser...
Check it out.
According to this Navy Times article the Navy is testing out a "new" throwback khaki dress service uniform.
What do you think?
Does it "work" today, or should it just remain a part of the WWII era?
