    High Crown on Campdraft? I am looking to purchase a new hat. I like the Akubra Campdraft. The crown looks to be very high after it's bashed. Can you make the bash lower. A hat with a high crown just doesn't look right on me! Any suggestions similar to the Campdraft?

    I came across this Borsalino, it says "A Eppstein & Sons Farmer City" on the sweat band. I took it by a local hat shop, he said it was 100 beaver but didn't know anything else. It is a size 7 1/2, just too big for me. I am thinking of putting it in the classifieds or EBay. I want to be fair...

    Akubra Campdraft

    I really like the Campdraft except for one thing; the height of the crown. I would like for the crown to be "shorter". Is this possible to do with the bashing or would you recommend a diffferent Akubra?

    Thanks for the info; I called them this afternoon. I found a Borsalino at a local thrift shop in Pineville. I am going to take it to them to have it cleaned and "touched up".:)

    Help!! Need a "non-dress" hat

    Thanks for all the replys! It looks like I have a lot of "work" to do. I will check out all the styles suggested. I just turned 50 last week so some styles may be too "young" for me. I don't think that I have ever seen a Campdraft in person. Is it too much like a "cowboy" hat.

    Help!! Need a "non-dress" hat

    I have been lurking here for about a year; just joined today. I bought a "dress" hat a few months back. I now need a more casual hat to wear with jeans and such. I am still reading and learning. I'm not sure what to look for; style, color, brand etc. Any help would be more than welcomed.
