Still not very talented when it comes to curling, but I tried hotcurlers today on my new, 6 inches shorter hair: The left side is just how I planned, but the right side (except for the former bangs) decided to annoy me by curling outwards instead of in... And I rolled both sides the same... -
Getting a vintage haircut: what to ask for?
Does any of the Dutch ladies know of a hairdresser that understands the classics, like the Middy? Preferably in the Utrecht-Den Haag-Rotterdam area ;) I always go to Kinkky here in Gouda and I'm really happy with them, but I'm not sure if they'll get the whole Middy thing when I ask them... -

Well, I had another try with my hotsticks last Saturday. I think I have basically found the style that really fits me, but I have more practise and learning to do ;) 1 word: YIKES! Brushing helped :) Now if anyone has tips for getting the ends curled the right way, I'd be very grateful... -

Dressing for the Holiday / Christmas party season
I'm in the midst of sewing a lovely, simple black dress that I can also wear on a daily base (full skirt, 3/4 sleeves and a poloshirt type neckline), but I don't think I'll get it done before the holidays... Well, I bought it and tried my first pincurl set. Which didn't work out because not even halfway through I discovered I didn't have enough pins by far... But the 3 I set in my bangs held quite well. I managed 2 very cute twisted curls on my head before I washed my hair again 2 days later. No... -

I'm having trouble finding my vintage style, period. I love skirts and dresses, but I hate cold and rain.
