My new EDC is a Taurus PT145 in .45 acp. I have shot a LOT of .45 acp over the years, and will always own a 1911. However, the Taurus is my carry for several reasons; 1) weight/size..it isn't much bigger than a Walther PPK/ Makarov and just about as slim 2) Its a striker-fire, like the Glocks...
I wear both; mostly baseball caps in the summer and fedoras in the fall/winter. My "go-to" baseball cap is a vintage 1937-1955 Brooklyn Dodgers ballcap.
personally, I would choose a fur-felt any chance I can get. However, lately I have been going with my vintage ballcap. It is a reproduction 1960's Houston Colt .45's baseball hat. it is distinctly different, but still offers a good deal of protection. I live in SW Ohio, where it gets rather...
Haven't decided where "here" is, but its been an interesting ride. Born and raised in suburban Phoenix, moved to Toledo (Ohio that is..) my sophomore year of high school, followed by a move to Cincinnati the day after I graduated high school. Joined the US Navy, stationed in San Diego for Boot...
I am looking to get a pair of paratrooper jump boots. I want black, not brown. Anyway, the choices are HH Brown or Corcoran. Is there any difference? Is one better than the other?
Any advice can help. Thanks..

When I was married to my ex-wife, I had a WWII US Army pith helmet. I loved wearing it, but my ex-wife DESPISED it. So I wore it out in public as often as I could, just to be passive-aggressive. Itw as fun.....still have the pith helmet, too...

For sheer relaxation, I go to the shooting range. There is nothing (and I mean NOTHING) that beats "ballisitic therapy". I am not a target shooter per se, but blasting at clay pigeons, pop cans, old fax machines, etc is an incredibly effective way to unwind, at least for me....
Selentino hats?
Hello All-
I am looking at a couple Selentino hats. They are marked "100% fur felt". Are these any good? Anyone had any experience with them?
Any opinions are appreciated. Thanks

1981 Datsun 210 station wagon. Purchased for $600 upon my discharge from the US Navy in 1989. It had 110,000 miles on it when I got it. Was a GREAT car...

You might be a gun-nut if.....
Since we have quite a few gun enthusiasts in here, thought it might be fun to post this.
YOU MIGHT BE A GUN-NUT IF:
You think the smell of Hoppe's No 9 gun oil is an aphrodisiac
Your friends & family seek your advise on gun purchases
Someone new comes over...
While Serving active duty in the Navy, I saw some odd things; especially coming from my very sheltered eyes.
My favorite was a smaller statured sailor, obviously fairly new on board, being lowered over the side of the ship on what looked like a board with a bucket of paint and a paint brush...
Hoppe's #9 gun oil...one of the best smell in the world, in my opinion
Drive-in's...we still have a few here is SW Ohio
Batsakes Hat Shop....only @ hour away from me.
Real gunsmiths....one's who can fix a broken gun
WPA bridges/buildings.....still a number around here
