When it comes to vintage like 50s or earlier, is thick or thin leather more desirable? Why? I used to think that the answer was thick leather, but idk anymore. I thought that thick leather has higher durability and thus higher chance to survive the decades, but there are plenty of thin leather jackets that survived too, in excellent condition at that. Maybe the thin ones were closet queens after a broken zipper or acquiring stitching holes and staying unrepaired.
