Akubra Longreach ~ Opinions?

Ive got a coober pedy, which I think is more or less the same thing only bashed differently and with a flash band. Its a very nice lid.

And I've got the Stockman. It's virtually identical to the Longreach in shape and dimensions, but without the bound edge, and with a different hatband.

The Stockman is an outstanding hat. The shorter brim makes it more fedora-like than most Akubra country hats. I've worn the heck out of mine in all kinds of conditions and it still looks new.

But the Longreach might be even better, a slightly more refined version... If it appeals to you, go for it!

 

[The Good]

I remember looking through the Akubra website, and liking the Longreach. Sure it's a country hat, but it looks like it can be worn with a sport coat or a suit as well. It's definitely nice.
