Yes, I've seen it. . A wonderful film. One of the first with an early form of two strip technicolor, I believe. The great Lionel Atwill and the beautiful Fay Wray! I think it can be found on DVD in the Fay Wray collection. I don't know if it's available as a seperate title. Another good one is "Mystery of the Wax Museum" which also stars Atwill and Wray.

I'm a big fan of early Technicolor -- always wanted to paint my house in shades of salmon and turquoise -- so I dragged my ex to see this one at a revival house long ago. For weeks afterward he lurched around the house grunting "Synnnnnnnthetic flesssssssssh!!!"

I do remember seeing this, early this year or late last year. Lizzie's "synthetic flesh!" reminded me. lol I thought it was good in that campy horror film kind of way but, I love campy horror films.

I love it! It's kind of like a more twisted "Mystery of the Wax Museum," but with Lee Tracy (no. 1 fast-talking fellow ever.) Plus you can catch Mae Busch in a smaller role.
And TCM will be showing it soon, this week if I'm not mistaken...

You're welcome. I'm pretty sure it'll be the colour one, as they have shown it in the past. And they tend to be very good with their prints. ;)

I've never seen the technicolour "Dr X". The only prints I've ever seen have been in monochrome. I'm so glad to read of other people who like watching old films purely for the lurid colour schemes!
