Anybody go to this DDay reenactment?

I know this is a big world but am curious if anybody attends this DDay reenactment.http://www.ddayohio.us/ I went 2 years ago and was impressed. Im hoping to go this year but we will see how busy I am.

Haven't been to Conneaut in a few years due to medical considerations, but it is an excellent re-enactment for the spectator. The video at their site shows it a little but the spectators are on a high hill leading down to the beach. The German defenders are in front of/below you.

Here are a couple photos. Note the Mustang coming in just a touch low in the second shot. They had plenty of air cover for the re-enactment, too!

I've never understood why they don't hold the reenactment on June 6 opposed to August 6....

I wish I could have seen that! The only thing I ever got to go to was a historical weapons shoot... everything from percussion cap rifles to the M-60 machine gun. Sadly, I lost all the photos when my original laptop was stolen.

But thatlooks amazing... and the Mustang!
