I ain’t one, but I have fond memories of a since-deceased horologist whose office was next to mine. Horological Services was the name of his business. He acknowledged that his was a dying trade, but that it would outlive him.
I confess that I had to look it up. A couple of months back I watched a fascinating show on the current state of the art. Electronically they are pushing the precision out to a ridiculous number of decimal points.
From one of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies: Respectable lady: "I am a horologist!" Pirate: "So's me mum, but she don't brag about it."
