I just got a shipping notification yesterday...my new VS Milan is on the way! It should be here Saturday...I'll post pictures when it arrives! Come to think of it, I don't believe I posted pictures of my last Work of Art, either...featherweight Silver Mist with blue band. Looks like it's time for a photoshoot...maybe even a VS Family Portrait. Three is enough for a family portrait, right? :)

Broker, please post photos of your new Milan when it arrives. I would love to see a shot of your silver mist, too! Heck, post the whole family, I never tire of seeing VS hats. Each one is amazing in it's own way. I just got my shipping notice for VS #5. This will be the first hat I have ordered from Art that is one of his limited editions.

    sus·pense -
    [suh-spens] - noun
    1. a state or condition of mental uncertainty or excitement, as in awaiting a decision or outcome, usually accompanied by a degree of apprehension or anxiety.
    2. excitement felt at the approach of the climax.
    3. a condition arising from the receipt of a delivery notification in your PO Box on a Saturday morning, announcing the arrival of a new hat made my Art Fawcett of Vintage Silhouettes, but having to wait until Monday to see said hat because the local Post Office does not have Saturday retail window hours.

Viper, I'll post some good pics as soon as I retrieve it from the Post Office. I'll also snap some good pictures of the silver mist. I have actually gotten a good bit of use out of it recently...the featherweight felt is perfect for the late afternoon showers we've gotten almost every day this week.

People sell nice things all the time for all sorts of reasons. Nothing mysterious in that.

  10. A good hat being worn is better than a great hat sitting in a box or on a hook. So a GREAT hat getting worn is spectacular!!!!
    Spread the love!

I picked up my new VS Milan from the post office today and I couldn't be happier! I realize I say this every time I get a new work of Art, but it is my new favorite hat. The feel is wonderful, and it is nice and cool on my head...the perfect summer hat! Here are a few shots...

+2! Nice rakes. Both are beauties-- the ribbon on the Milan really makes the hat, IMHO.

Awesome, Broker! What are the dimensions on the Silver Mist? I like both of them very much & I'm looking forward to that family shot. :D

I had to pick up my new VS from the post office today during my lunch hour because I missed delivery yesterday. Although this is my 5th hat from Art, this is the first VS limited edtion I have ordered and it looks AMAZING! I'll try to post some photos tonight before & after I crease it (ordered it open crown).

My new Silvermist featherweight. Identical ribbon work on each side.
