Thanks, but it's too big. Put it up on Marketplace or ebay. That'll sell. Its a nice jacket.
I'm not on Fakebook and I only buy on Ebay, so I'll have to figure something else out.

If anybody here knows somebody who can wear it I'll send it to them for the cost of shipping just to get it to a good home and free up a hanger.
I would rather it go to someone that'll wear it instead of donating it to goodwill where a hunter will scoop it up to make a profit.

Hello to all !

I have a missing part of a snap button from my Levi's Vintage Clothing jacket. It is the "male" part (the "female" part is still in perfect condition, so i don't need it replaced). it is the one at the top.

Please see the photo below. These are the exact same snap buttons that you find on all their sherpas jackets, so it is not a "special" production.

Could anybody tell me where to buy a replacement for this button, or at least the correct side of this button to get a replacement ? Than you

How come the leather on this schott jacket looks so good?

It’s looks way better than mine. I almost thought it was horsehide, but it’s just their steerhide. Has it been waxed or oiled to get that shine? IMG_1388.jpeg IMG_1389.jpeg

I dont know if anyone had asked this but do you layer leather jackets under a coat or overcoat? If so can you recommend which types of overcoats?

I tried it once with an M-65, M-51 parka and a more elegant wool coat, but I didn't like it. It might work with a thin, light leather jacket, but with what I have, it looks kind of weird to me. Maybe it would work with an oversized army coat. But that's not my style.
But if you like it, why not?

Overcoat with thin leather jackets were fine. For thick ones only thing i can layer under was a leather vest. I will give m65 or m51 jacket. Thanks!

Only a lightweight raincoat. Anything else is too bulky.
Also finding things in your pockets can be a huge hassle. Let me see...were my keys in the outer pocket of the inner jacket??? The inner pocket of the outer jacket. Maybe it was the inner pocket of the inner jacket....
Many raincoats don't have pockets. That helps out a bit.

Man… whats the best way to wear jackets in colder weather then? Really want to wear them fall to spring season. Layering heavily under seems to be an only option?

Anyone have a strong opinion on the width of the belt on half belt jackets?
I'm looking to order a half belt and the one I'm interested in has a belt width of 3.5 cm according to the maker. I specifically asked because it didn't really look right proportionally in the pictures. I don't have a jacket to compare to.

That's really skinny. About 5cm is right. Or around 2"
If it looks goofy it doesn't make any difference what the actual number is.
Look elsewhere. You already answered your own question. Erase that jacket from your list.

Thank you for the reply. I forgot to post the picture of the jacket. It's the Double helix 1930s. They say they can make the belt wider, but I'm not sure if I should trust that the outcome will be good.

Anyone have experience using Real mccoy gloves. How do I measure to find the right size. I also don't know if it's thick or thin. I'm confused between these two.
For comparison I measured my thin glove without lining. It measured 23 cm and 10.5 cm

Looking at the seams where you can see the edge they look to be thin leather. Buying gloves online is very tricky. If you order your perfect size you can end up with a finger or two that is so tight you can't get them on. Try on a dozen pairs of gloves and they will all fit different on your hands. Finger length is another unknown. The web area between the thumb and finger can leave a big space between your hand and the glove. If it is too deep then the end of your fingers or thumb will be flapping in the breeze. Be ready to return anything you get. It may take several attempts to find the best fit.
If you need motorcycle gloves I
recommend Geier or Belstaff.

I like the other A10 from Real McCoy because the horse leather looks really nice. Just worried about the wool part, not sure how long it will last before it stretches.

Hi guys, anyone know when Avirex started making these? M445a, I assumed it was before the 80s before it went top ***n

crazy, anyway I've never seen one until this week, looks nice enough for Avirex, shame they couldn't have continued with more authentic looking jackets, I won't even go there with the map lined G1 haha I never had one but we all started somewhere back then
