phew, then I'm reassured lol
Thanks.
None of my jackets have shoulder gussets. Will be a complete new experience ;)

Don't you have them in your aero cafe racer?
I have them in a Perfecto that must be at least ten years old and in my Brooks that are 60 years old. The elastic band is still holding up pretty well in both though the Brooks could probably benefit from having a new one installed.

No, my Cafe Racer was without gussets. Although I don't really know why. Wasn't offered to me in the shop at the time. I already know why I prefer to hire the manufacturer directly lol
The new Sheene will have gussets and so will my 5* Cafe Racer

Looks like I'll be using that Horween Vermont for my next leather... still not sure about using a full veg tan though. For anyone that's used this stuff, what do you treat it with?

My Question is: are there any resources where I can find the history behind the motorcycle jacket and how it evolved through the ages? Any and all forms of media are appreciated.

Has anybody seen a Levis jacket like this one? If yes, what type is it?

Congrats on getting a new jacket. Great start, the fit jacket they sent you is close to your real size. Sleeve length looks great maybe you can go 0.25"-3/8" longer to account for creasing, back length maybe needs to be 0.25-0.5 shorter. But it all depends on your personal preference at the end of the day lol

A few questions for you:
Is that a Thedi? What leather will you be using? Will this be a layering jacket or will it be a trim fit?

Was planning to get this jacket: https://thedi-leathers.com/product/mtc-127996/
With bruciato horsehide.
After see how the back is little puffy it might be better to get: https://thedi-leathers.com/product/mtc-10075/

Hmm maybe I'll keep the same sleeve length. I haven't had a quality leather jacket, only have a deerskin flathead that is too soft, where the creases shorten the sleeve.
