Brooks sportswear Detroit Michigan made a lot of leather jackets. This is one style I had not seen. I was intrigued when it showed up on ebay. The price was out of line, but that changed and I was able to buy it quite reasonable. I'm always after something a bit unique, something that stands out from the standard line. This fits the bill for me. I owned/sold a number of Brooks jackets. Most have been the traditional black steer cafe racer. I also owned two of the mustard colored jackets and one in a rough out leather. I have not seen another of the rough outs and maybe one other of the mustard colored trucker style.
This Brooks has the embroidered label, which was recently identified as the earliest version of the "gold label". This jacket is pretty much unworn condition. It is the early light leather as seen on the early Brooks jackets. It does look more 70s with the "Elephant Ear" collar. The tags are like new. Sized a 46 and fits like one. I'm wearing a sweatshirt to fill out the jacket as I'm a 44 at best.
Not high end, maybe even odd. Certainly a mixed bag of styles.
