Can this dress be fixed?

I think it's fixable. It won't be invisible, but it's in the back and might even be under your arm. I would probably darn it closed or make a small patch out of matching fabric and iron it on using Stitch Witchery from the inside.

I'd go with the patching, unless you're real handy at darning. My hubby used to get those L-shaped tears on his woven cotton work shirts until they switch shirts to knit polo types. Those type of tears are a tad bit tricky to repair, but very do-able. If you line up the fabric well, I'm sure no one will be able to see it. Couldn't hurt to at least try it. Good luck!
