Until today I still have rather difficulty in defining and distinguishing color of fedora, especially in reviewing the listed hats on OFAS. Not to mention that most of the pictures there don't depict the actual color due to bad lighting or other technical matters. So, can anyone here please share their fedora pictures of these colors for me to compare? Maybe pictures of them outdoors would depict the true color...

Tan vs camel vs beige vs olive - I really have a vague idea on how they look like and the difference

Then, charcoal vs light grey

Help please? Thanks.

There's also an issue of how your monitor is calibrated (color, contrast, etc.) which will markedly affect how something looks. Trying to get an exact idea of the true color of an item isn't going to happen 99% of the time on a computer monitor unless the one taking the picture has their monitor 100% correctly calibrated to sometime like the Pantone scale, and then adjusts the color in the photo so that they see on-screen matches the actual hat, and then the monitor you're viewing the image on is also exactly calibrated the same way. You're probably better off if someone tells you the color exactly matches color **x on a Pantone chart and you look at said color on your own chart. There are just too many variables if you're looking for an exact color-match on-screen. There's also, as noted on your post, a lot of subjectivity. One person's medium gray may be another's dark charcoal, and someone else may think it's a battleship gray and so forth.
