I've got a very nice leather name tag in hand from a great supplier in Italy. There's a local firm that has gobs of experience in stitching leather and they have agreed to attach it for me.
Before I go off to have this done, I want to make sure I don't get the placement just wrong. It is my understanding that such things were field-sewn during the war. Whatever base you were on, you went to "the guy" who sewed on tags, patches and the like, right? So as long as it's straight and logically positioned on the upper left breast (MY left), it's ok. Or is that wrong?
Or is there a regulation for it? i.e. X inches from zip, X inches above pocket?
