What a great hat! I like these better than Whippets. Great catch!

Snagged two good ones tonight!
This is one of them.
I love Adam hats! Especially in great colors like this one.
Never heard of a “Futura”. Have y’all?
Will have to clean the sweat-stain our of the front felt, but otherwise a great late 40s/ early 50s hat in great condition!
A nice keeper in my size.

As you know, I snagged this one from you, Randall.
1940s Dalton. Beautiful shape. I like the wrapped reed, too!

Hope you enjoy it, Doc!
Like I said, only let it go because I have too many really great brown fedoras.

At one time, I had four Daltons. with this sale it leaves me with one.
Good enough.

As you probably know, with many hats of this time period there was no reed in the material sewn to the leather. They were sewn through the material straight to the felt. I tried sewing it back close to the way it was done.
Turned out okay, I think, other than using thread that was too dark.
Lots of tedious work, that.

Glad it’s going to find a spot in a very nice, large collection owned by a really good dude!

Szaszi. Another step in my hat education.

Stefan, aka @steur , recommended I buy this hat. It was made by a very high-end manufacturer in Vienna. I had never heard of this brand, and I thank Stefan profusely for pointing it out to me.
This is Szaszi's site:
http://www.szaszi.com/en/kunden.htm

Prices start at €810. I've no idea of the size, but I bought it before someone else did.
