I always love the less than perfect look to those who wore a hat every day.
Maybe not strictly in-line with the theme of this thread, but these men became so closely identified to the hats they wore when playing their respective characters on screen that I think they slip in just under the radar.

Not as old as some but here is Harry Anderson in an interesting Video I came across. I find I learn something new every time I watch him in interviews. Must have been an interesting historian or sorts.
