That is what I discovered after looking into the picture's source. I'm assuming it's still active, since this picture was taken very recently.

History:

From an article in written in 2003: One of Manhattan’s oldest family-owned restaurants (owned and operated 51 years now by Fedora Dorato) Supposedly it was a haven for gays in the 60s.
